Accomodations

Radnor ABC is located in a 100-year-old Victorian house in the center of Wayne, PA, in Radnor Township. The live-in Resident Director and Tutors offer the social and academic mentoring that parents would usually provide. Click here to learn more about the staff.

Radnor ABC is a coed program and can accept up to ten students. The girls live on the second floor of the main house with two female tutors, and the boys reside in the carriage house behind the main house with two male tutors. The Resident Directors lives in a separate apartment in the carriage house.

academics

Radnor ABC scholars are in an advanced college prep curriculum at Radnor High School. Each evening the Resident Tutors monitor study hall and help the students with their school work. Radnor ABC also provides an SAT prep course and extensive personal guidance for all students as they navigate the college application process. Many students also have the opportunity to travel and study abroad through scholarships from the Experiment in International Living.

meals & activities

A professional chef prepares weekday dinners, which staff and students all eat family style in the dining room. Radnor ABC also coordinates periodic group outings and field trips for the students and staff. The staff, board members, and community volunteers work hard to maintain a family atmostphere.

Each student is also paired with a family in the community that serves as his or her host family. Students visit their host families every other Sunday and share in family meals and activities. On alternate Sundays, volunteers from the community prepare dinner for the students and staff at the Radnor ABC house.
