Radnor ABC Shoes-To-Share

The ABC Students volunteer their time to collect over 3500 pairs of shoes for the Shoes-to-Share project.

The A Better Chance welcomes Euna, a visiting Fulbright Scholar from Korea.

As part of the Radnor A Better Chance "Speaker Series", local professionals are often ask to enjoy an evening with the students and to share their stories. Some recent guests include:

Carlos Tellez from Store Room Solutions

Carlos has an extensive background in the services industry, with much of that experience gained within client facilities (on site). His most recent assignment as a Vice President with the world's largest engineer-constructor organization required significant skill in dealing with public, safety and technical issues with equal finesse. Carlos earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford, and his MA from Harvard.

Kim Davis Cuthbert Owner/Chef at
Sweet Jazmines

Starting with a small business loan and the determination to turn her passion into a career, she opened Sweet Jazmines in 1999. She is a focused baker, methodical and meticulous, in her steadiness a hint of the accounting training she pursued before heading off to the Culinary Institute of America to study pastry-making, a craft that she polished under the wing of Eddie Hales, the legendary head baker at the Four Seasons hotel on Logan Square.

Tim Wampler, owner Shoes 2 Share, along with his children Seth, Dee Dee and John Marc spend an afternoon with the students.
