Get Involved
We are a working board with numerous committees.
We are actively seeking new board members from the community and
with ties to the business community. We are in need of someone to
work on grants for funding. We also need a new “wish list” manager
to coordinate donated items for the house.
Donate Time
Tutor a student, sponsor an activity, cook a
Sunday Dinner, be a host family, etc. There are many ways to take
part.
Donate Money
It takes focus, effort and good will to make
Radnor ABC a success, it also takes money. The cost of
heating and maintaining the hundred - year old main house and
converted carriage house are considerable. We receive no state,
local or federal funds.

The Sunday Dinner Program was instituted to provide meals on
those Sundays where the ABC kids are not with their host family. Instead of
having to order out, providing a Sunday dinner offers a great opportunity for
the community to get involved with the program while providing substantial
savings to the grocery budget.
There are 12 people living at the ABC House this year: 8 Radnor ABC high school
students, the Resident Director, Tiffany Joyner (215-272-1440) and 3 tutors who work at
the house in the evenings helping the kids with their studies. Because of the
number of people to cook for, the Sunday Dinner sign-up is separated into 3
parts: main course, side dish & salad/rolls and dessert. Individuals are welcome
to provide an entire meal if they wish and are encouraged to stay and eat dinner
at the house. Another option is to invite the students to your home for dinner.
Dinner is served by 6pm because the students must be in study hall by 7pm.
The dates for 2009-2010 dinners are as follows:
2009- 10/11, 10/25, 11/8, 11/22, 12/13, 12/20
2010- 1/31, 2/28, 4/11, 4/25, 5/9, 5/23
