In order to be eligible to apply for the A Better Chance program, students must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States who identify themselves as people of color and must be in grades 5 through 10. Students who are selected typically meet additional criteria.

Additional criteria:

1. Perform at or above grade level in Mathematics and English
2.  Have an overall academic average of B+ or better
3. Rank in the top ten percent of their class
4. Participate in extracurricular activities both within and outside of school
5. Demonstrate leadership potential either in school or in their communities
6. Receive good recommendations from their teachers
7. Are of upstanding character

Each year in January, Radnor ABC receives applications of prospective students from the National organization. Our student selection committee carefully reviews these applications and invites students and parents for a visit. This visit gives students and their families the opportunity to see our house, meet our staff, and visit Radnor High School before being asked to make a commitment to the program.

To apply to Radnor ABC, you must plan in advance. The first part of the application is due in October for the following school year. All prospective scholars must apply through the National organization.
